My kid is a rebel.
Other kids might follow the rules. But Benjy? Benjy makes his OWN rules.
Take the slide for instance. Other kids like going down it? Benjy spends his time going UP it.
Nevermind he never actually gets anywhere. And nevermind his insanely bad fashion sense- that’ll get its own very separate blog post very soon.
Benjy just goes his own way. And yesterday, he found a recruit in Owen. Owen was intrigued with Benjy’s crazy ideas and decided to follow.
So, up the slide he went, with Benjy right behind him to support him.
And all went well. Until it didn’t.
Some kids are more secure in doing things the right way round. Maybe Benjy could learn a thing or two.

I totally used to do that when I was little! Climbing up is so much more fun – it’s the challenge!
I teach 1-yr. olds in Sunday School & some of them like going up the slide, too. So cute!
