Great post Sarah and spot on. I have a few friends that invested in a camera that they rarely use and take along, only using their camera phone. I, on the other hand, have a permanently crooked posture from the weight of my nikon in my shoulderbag, ha! I did kiss a few frogs though before finding my "prince". This is the longest I've had a camera (d700) and not had the yearning for "the next great thing". Still in love. :-)

I have an actual decent sportsbra on which I spent like 55-65 euros and that was already 10% Sokos discounted :-). So I'd be suspicious of the cheapneas of the Genie Bra, rather than the other way around :-D...

i'm pretty sure i agree with you. but i still feel terrible. i think henry is content playing on his own, but would be happier if i'd play with him.

on that note, i must get off the computer now.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with your self-flagellation here. I don't so much think that playing with our children is really our job. I know some parents do and truly enjoy it and that's great. However, if you DON'T truly enjoy it (I don't) I think that's okay too.

As you point out, Henry is quite happy with things the way they are. He's learned to entertain himself and be happy with what he's given. In my experience, those kids are more pleasant to be around and generally happier than the ones who follow adults around crying and begging for entertainment and attention because they don't know how to solve the boredom problem on their own.

Henry is secure in your love, affection and attention and his independence shows that. You have given him a brother, playmates and lots of toys for entertainment. He's fine.
