Healing for the heart
Today I was eaten alive by 8 raging, slobbering, sharp-fanged, maniacal mini-beasts.
No shoelace was safe.
It healed my heart. Just a little.

Because after my fabulous shoot with the Kahlers, I headed up to North Phoenix for a sunset shoot with two women who have been in my life for a whole lotta years. Laurie and Beth have been common guests at family events forever- joining us for holidays, birthdays, graduations, weddings…
Laurie has actually been our unofficial family videographer- recording our skydiving expedition and my wedding for posterity.
So, really, it was only fitting that I got to record THEIR lives for posterity.
This beautiful desert landscape is actually the butte their house looks out on. Some girls have all the luck.

So, imagine my dismay when Benjy’s favorite animal was this:
Horses. HORSES. Horses that we can see for FREE down the canal from my parents house.
And also?
The splash pad.
Which he can play on for FREE at the shopping centre down the street.
Do you see the trend here? Yeah…
We have, however, purchased a zoo membership- so we’ll be able to partake in all these FREE things over and over again in the next few weeks.

For the slideshow, head here. You’ll have to download a plug-in to watch the video, but it’ll make viewing other slideshows easier. Remember to have your speakers on!
