On Wednesday, Mom and I took the boys to the zoo.  I was SO EXCITED to show Benjy all the elephants, monkeys, zebras, and lions- you know- all the animals that make all the best noises and are in all the baby animal books. The Zoo! professional photographer Phoenix lasten valokuvaus childrens photography Arizona animal photography

So, imagine my dismay when Benjy’s favorite animal was this:

Horses.  HORSES.  Horses that we can see for FREE down the canal from my parents house.

And also?

The splash pad.

Which he can play on for FREE at the shopping centre down the street.

Do you see the trend here?  Yeah…

We have, however, purchased a zoo membership- so we’ll be able to partake in all these FREE things over and over again in the next few weeks.

Allie, who is quite the connoisseur of splash parks/pads, deemed the zoo splash park THE best one. I’m going to take her back to some of the ones in Chandler that are run by the city, because they have fancier stuff in them that I think she’ll actually get into this summer, but she likes “the jungle one.” The ones at the mall are now boring and no good in comparison!

I love it! I did some free entertaining with brown packing paper, until Dad deemed it ‘unclean’ and threw it away… back to the much dribbled over ‘normal people toys’!

  3. I did a double take on that first pic. That’s a realistic looking elephant!

I can’t believe how grown up Benjy looks in the first photo…your baaaaby! :-)
